Fulfillment Specialist
Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Fulfillment Specialist to join our team. The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for processing work orders, locating and preparing merchandise, packaging orders for shipment, coordinating domestic and international logistics, and maintaining accurate shipping and inventory records.
This position also supports customs compliance and international trade requirements and requires travel to Saskatoon as needed to support fulfillment, inventory, logistics, and operational activities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Package and process domestic and international shipments for client orders and inter-company transfers.
- Prepare international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, customs documentation, export reports, certificates, and other required shipping documents.
- Support customs compliance activities, including ensuring shipments have appropriate classifications, documentation, declared values, country-of-origin information, and other required import/export information.
- Maintain accurate records related to customs, imports, exports, and international shipments.
- Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, couriers, and other logistics providers to resolve customs clearance issues, documentation discrepancies, shipment delays, and other transportation issues.
- Stay informed of applicable customs, import/export, and shipping requirements and escalate potential compliance concerns as appropriate.
- Manage the reorder and inventory of shipping materials, supplies, and tools.
- Work with courier representatives to resolve issues and delays involving inbound and outbound shipments.
- Liaise with vendors to coordinate inbound shipments.
- Coordinate material returns shipments with vendors.
- Coordinate with the Customer Success team to manage client returns and service-related shipments.
- Unpack, inspect, and receive inbound shipments from vendors.
- Process inventory put-away transactions and assist with general inventory management and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain dangerous goods, transportation documentation and records.
- Support and maintain compliance with applicable dangerous goods transportation requirements.
- Perform data entry and records management related to order fulfillment, inventory, shipping, customs, and logistics.
- Perform general quality control inspections on inbound materials upon receipt and outbound products prior to shipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and fulfillment area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel to Saskatoon as required to support fulfillment operations, inventory activities, logistics coordination, training, and other operational requirements.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics, including international shipping.
- Working knowledge of customs compliance, import/export documentation, and international shipping requirements.
- Experience preparing and reviewing customs and international trade documentation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of fulfillment and logistics activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, inventory transactions, and shipping records.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Saskatoon as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with and experience applying Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations.
- Familiarity with the safe handling, packaging, documentation, and transportation of lithium batteries.
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international courier services.
- Knowledge of tariff classifications/HS codes, country-of-origin requirements, valuation, duties and taxes, and other customs compliance concepts.
- Experience with import/export recordkeeping and compliance processes.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, UAV, technology, or similarly regulated environment.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull packages, materials, and equipment as required for fulfillment and warehouse activities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse or fulfillment area for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks related to packing, labeling, inventory handling, data entry, and order processing.
- Ability to use standard warehouse, packaging, and shipping tools and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Ability to travel to Saskatoon as required to support fulfillment, inventory, logistics, training, and operational needs.
Compensation
$50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
