About The Role:
Draganfly Innovations Inc. is looking for a Field Application Specialist (FAS) to serve as a qualified market ambassador for Draganfly’s UAS platforms, bridging the gap between sales, product experience, and end-users. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality product demonstrations, customer training, and event support while ensuring that clients are set up for success pre-sale and integration. The FAS ensures customers, partners, and prospects experience our solutions at their highest potential from the first interaction through early adoption.
This is a remote role, but the successful candidate will need to be willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
UAS Operations
- Deliver in-person and virtual product demonstrations for prospects, partners, and strategic accounts
- Act as the on-ground SME, aligning demos and use cases with customer mission requirements
- Develop and refine demo playbooks, training materials, and e-learning resources
- Maintain demo systems and ensure all equipment is field-ready and properly configured
- Deliver customer and partner training (in-person and virtual), including contributing to training materials and resources
- Conduct flight operations for demos, testing, and special projects in compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Execute UAS operations for assigned special projects
Events & Trade Show Support
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements as a brand ambassador and technical expert
- Operate live demo areas, give presentations, and manage customer engagement activities
- Assist Ops coordinators with event/demo logistics, including shipping, setup, tear-down, and technical preparation as needed
Interdepartmental Support
- Collaborate with Sales to define technical requirements and support customer qualification
- Provide technical input for proposals, presentations, and bid responses
- Capture and communicate customer feedback, feature requests, and field insights to the Sr. Field Application Specialist
- Support customer onboarding and ensure successful early adoption of systems
- Deliver internal product training and participate in mock demos for Sales, Marketing, and Partner teams
Who are you really?
- A strong communicator who can clearly translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly proficient in UAS flight operations, with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and regulatory excellence
- Comfortable working with MAVLink-based systems and adapting to evolving UAS technologies
- Self-driven and dependable, able to manage multiple engagements independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexible and willing to travel to support customer sites and industry events
- Tech-savvy and organized, with experience using CRM tools like HubSpot and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- You bring a positive, solutions-oriented mindset and thrive in a role where attention to detail matters.
Qualifications:
- Transport Canada RPAS Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations (required)
- 4+ years in UAS operations or UAS product application roles (military/public safety/enterprise background preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct customer-facing training or presentations
- Experience with market-relevant payloads, mission planning, and troubleshooting UAS systems
- Industry Specialization/Experience in Military: UAS operations including long- and short-range reconnaissance, FPV piloting (including system build, maintenance, and tuning), tactical logistics, and other specialized military applications
Compensation package:
- Competitive salary: $72,000 - $95,000 CAD
